Resting In His Shadow

icon, poems Psalm 91

Dwelling in Your secret place, looking on Your face,

resting in Your shadow, daily learning grace.

Grace that saves and covers, grace that shields and calms,

resting in the shadow of Your loving arms.

Guarded by the angels who serve at Your command,

I’m resting in Your shadow, lifted on their hands.

Because I’ve learned to love You~~You who first loved me~~

I’m resting in Your shadow, and You watch over me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.  Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.  They shall still bear fruit in old age; to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. vv. 12-15
