Concerning this salvation, the prophets who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. I Peter 1:10-12
They peer into salvation~~the angels stretch and peek~~wondering at the marvel wrought by a Lamb so meek. Watching glad souls gather over all the years, they’re servants~~helping and observing all the joys and tears.
They peer into salvation~~and just can’t understand how sinners become such glorified saints because of the death of The Lamb.
They’ve known there’s to be a wedding when His sheep become His bride. They’ve heard there’s a great feast coming when she’s presented by His side.
Co-heirs with Him forever! What a service that will be when the
liberator of Calvary marries the slave that He set free.
So~~peering into eternal plans ~~these angels beholding His grace may think that at last on the wedding day there will be a place for them to do what they’ve always done (announcing things and singing out whenever God had things to say or things to shout about).
But once again~~they’ll only watch and listen to the Bride who’ll sing a brand new wedding song for the Lamb who died.

And they sang a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10
